Beacon #3: LISTEN / IGNORE

LISTEN to what candidates say about themselves and their positions on the issues.  IGNORE what they say about their opponents and their opponent's positions on the issues.
  • LISTEN to what candidates say about their leadership abilities, experience, and accomplishments.
  • IGNORE what they say about their opponents leadership abilities, experiences, and accomplishments.
  • LISTEN to what candidates say about their positions on the issues. 
  • IGNORE what they say about their opponents positions on the issues.
  • The candidates should be experts on their own positions, not the opponent’s positions.
  • Regardless of local laws, IGNORE candidates who don't live in your state, Congressional district, or state legislative district.  Reject any and all outside influences.
